OK yesterday was gloomy but watching the girls rehearsal was sweet. Tori my oldest is on point.....she is so beautiful to watch I was happy and sweet sad watching her long legs gracefully glide across the floor on her gorgeous point shoes. Theres just something about the shoes I love. More on Amanda at dance later. The second happy sweet sad thing is I got this dress for Amanda today($5 Old Navy, $1.29 satin ribbon Jo-Ann's) for her 6th grade graduation. She is looking so much more mature lately and beautiful, It seems like Tori was just walking across that stage graduating from 6th grade. Maybe that's why I'm a little gloomy.......I know I should celebrate these moments watching my kids get older and I do but sometimes I struggle with the fact that it all goes by so quickly. The saying goes cherish every moment and I really feel like I do and it's still hard sometimes. One thing is for sure.......big or small I LOVE them just the same, new and differently everyday!

oh point shoes...sigh...i wanted to be a dancer so bad!! i used to wear my friends shoes everytime i went to her house. once she let me borrow an old pair. i wore them until my feet blistered and bled...and then i did feel like a dancer...
6th grade graduation is very bittersweet......I miss you and will be there in a few days to cheer you up and drink some champagne girl! You are such a good mom....
I felt similar to this (not identical- I'm not a mom) Sunday when I attempted to attend my baby sister's HS graduation and couldn't stay (due to surgery that morning). Looking at all the happy pictures with her & friends/family made me so mad & extremely sad I couldn't be there with her- I'll never have that moment to enjoy again... I'm so proud & happy, but sad still at the same time...
I absolutely LOVE the pictures though... the point shoes are beautiful.
the pics are great...but can I just ask...what kind of person has a creepy maniquin/dress form in their house? Seriously?
Do you take pics of your cute outfits often? ahahhahahaah
I loved sixth grade graduation...seeing them all on the cusp of adolesence, but still kids...the "wonder years"
Ha! I'm so with Katie! I wanted to do it...my cousin gave me her old pair that didn't fit her and I wore them too! So funny! I'm obsessed with ballet and all things ballerina. Your girls are beautiful and talented...and that $5 dress ROCKS!
